His academic path began at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, one of the world's most competitive engineering institutions, where he graduated with honors in Metallurgical Engineering. He then earned his MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, India's premier HR and management school, and his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
